Instant Pot Gluten Free Chicken Bone Broth

 

This is one of my all-time favorite and most asked for recipes from family and friends. Chicken bone broth heals you internally by promoting digestion and is rich in minerals, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. It is also highly beneficial for the skin because it is a good source of collagen, along with its anti-inflammatory properties! So, start today and your gut will thank you tomorrow!  



Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs. of Chicken Feet* (Whole Foods)

  • 13 cups of water

  • ¼ Cup BRAGGS Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 3 Tablespoons of BRAGG organic 24 Herb Seasoning

  • 1 Tablespoon of Turmeric

  • 1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper

  • 1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder

  • 1 Teaspoon of Onion Powder

  • ½ Teaspoon of Pink Himalayan Salt* (Or Sea Salt)

  • 2 Splashes of Thai Kitchen Fish Sauce (optional)

  • 4 Splashes of Coconut Amino (optional)

 

 Topping (optional) 

  • Fresh Basil

  • Fresh Cilantro

  • Fresh Parsley

  • Fresh Herbs

  • Jalapeños

  • Get creative, the options are endless!

 

Instructions: 

 1. Unpack your chicken feet* (I find mine at Whole Foods) and add them to your instant pot, then fill with 13 cups of water (4.5 L) and add your apple cider vinegar.

 2. Next add your BRAGG herb seasoning, turmeric, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.  

 3. Then put in your fish sauce and coconut amino.

 4. Set your Instant Pot to Soup (120 minutes) on High Pressure, and Normal.

 5. Once the broth is done, push Keep Warm every 24 Hours and use it til it’s gone. It usually doesn’t last long when I drink it and cook with it. Or freeze in cubes to last longer.

 6. This broth is great for digestion so drink ½ cup after meals, and before bed. This is a great alternative for dinner if you do not want to eat a heavy meal. You can make gravy, sauces, add it to curry, or freeze it for consistent use.  

  *Chicken feet are used because they have many joints which increases collagen within the broth, they create immense flavor and are most affordable.

 

*Pink Himalayan salt possesses various minerals and health benefits when added to food.
